Griffin's notes: All things considered, Ru has actually created such a fantastic portrayal of Zephaniah Gallanthus in this single passage alone that I'm willing to forgive everything else. Aside from showcasing Zephaniah's warring superiority and inferiority complexes, this block of text is a remarkably condensed analysis of just how clever and stupid he is all at once. I will give Ru a B- by the American grading system.
